Bengaluru, Sept. 29 -- The Karnataka High Court today directed the state authorities to consider a petition by Abdul Hameed Pasha seeking recovery of Rs 5 lakh from Jamia Mohamadiyah Education Society, allegedly involved in fraudulent practices.

Pasha, son of late Abdu Khadar, aged about 51 years, had approached the court after funds released to the society on October 25, 2017, were allegedly misappropriated.

Jamia Mohamadiyah Education Society, with its head office in Mumbai and also located in Bengaluru, is represented by its Chief Executive Officer Khalid Musharruf. The petitioner claimed that the society was not registered as a public trust and had obtained official recognition using allegedly fraudulent documents.
