Bengaluru, Oct. 9 -- The Karnataka High Court today issued notice to the state on an appeal filed by Janata Dal (Secular) leader and former MP Prajwal Revanna, challenging his conviction and life sentence in the first rape case registered against him at Holenarasipura Rural Police Station in Hassan District.
A division bench comprising Justice KS Mudagal and Justice T Venkatesh Naik directed Revanna's counsel to file a detailed synopsis of the appeal. The court also asked the state to clarify whether a Special Public Prosecutor, as appointed during the trial, would argue the appeal. The matter is scheduled for hearing on October 28.
