Bengaluru, Oct. 10 -- The Karnataka High Court today granted bail to five followers of actor Darshan, arrested for allegedly sending sexually coloured, offensive, and threatening messages to former MP and actress Ramya on Instagram.
The court also granted anticipatory bail to another accused, BA Vikas.
Ramya, who has also been active in politics, filed a complaint on July 28, detailing harassment from 43 Instagram accounts. Many of these accounts, she claimed, were operated by fans of actor Darshan.
The alleged harassment followed Ramya's sharing of an article regarding the Supreme Court proceedings in the Renukaswamy murder case, in which Darshan is the second accused and currently in custody.
