Bengaluru, Aug. 3 -- Amid the looming threat of an indefinite strike by government transport employees starting August 5, the Karnataka government has reached out to private bus operators seeking their cooperation to ensure continuity of transport services and minimise inconvenience to the public. In a meeting convened by the state Transport Department, officials discussed possible contingency arrangements in the event of a public transport shutdown. The meeting was aimed at enlisting the help of private bus associations to maintain essential bus services across the state.
