Bengaluru, Sept. 21 -- The Karnataka government has ordered the formation of a special investigation team (SIT) under the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to probe the alleged unauthorized removal of voters from the electoral rolls in the Aland Assembly constituency of Kalaburagi district.
The move comes after former MLA BR Patil filed a complaint regarding 6,670 voters whose names were reportedly deleted from the electoral list without proper authorisation.
