Bengaluru, Feb. 21 -- The Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) has urged Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to allow Muslim government employees to avail a two-hour evening leave during the holy month of Ramzan, following similar provisions introduced in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

In a formal appeal submitted to the Chief Minister's office, KPCC Vice Presidents Syed Ahmad and ARM Hussain have requested the state government to implement the relaxation, enabling Muslim employees to leave work after 4 PM to break their fast (Iftar) at home. The leaders emphasised that a delegation would soon meet Siddaramaiah to press for the demand.
