Bengaluru, Oct. 23 -- The All India Congress Committee (AICC) has reinforced its Scheduled Castes (SC) Department with the appointment of 45 new national coordinators across various states and party units.
Among the key appointees are Karnataka Legislative Council Member FH Jakkappanavar and Dr Ananda Kumar, Secretary of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC), who have been assigned as coordinators in charge of Maharashtra.
Dr Kumar, a prominent Dalit movement leader and social activist, has long championed the upliftment of Scheduled Castes.
