Bengaluru, Nov. 6 -- Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah today accused the central government of doing "injustice" to the state's sugarcane farmers, asserting that it was "playing tricks" with them amid ongoing protests in Belagavi demanding higher prices for their produce.

Speaking after a Cabinet meeting, the CM highlighted the political and economic dimensions of the crisis. "Both Congress and BJP are the owners of the sugar factories.
