Bagalkote, Oct. 14 -- Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah today linked the recent incident of shoe-throwing at Chief Justice of India BR Gavai to elements claiming affiliation with Sanatan Dharma, warning against the misuse of religion to justify acts of aggression.

Speaking in Bagalkote, Siddaramaiah said, "Recently, a person belonging to Sanatan Dharma threw a shoe at the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. No religion, including Sanatan Dharma, advocates hatred. We should condemn what a lawyer who has studied law did. We should not tolerate it.
