Bengaluru, April 22 -- Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Tuesday condemned the terror attack on tourists in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam, describing the incident as "cowardly".
Reports confirm that among the victims are citizens from Karnataka.
"Kannadigas are among the victims of this shocking incident. I strongly condemn this cowardly act of terror," the Chief Minister said.
After receiving the tragic news, the CM convened an emergency meeting with the Chief Secretary and senior police officials to assess the situation and coordinate immediate measures and support mechanisms.
The Chief Minister also confirmed that he has spoken to the Resident Commissioner in Delhi for ground-level updates and to facilitate assistance.
