Bengaluru, Sept. 5 -- A fresh political row has broken out in Karnataka after the Congress-led government approved the withdrawal of as many as 60 criminal cases involving activists, community groups and political supporters, including 11 linked to Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar and his brother, former Bangalore Rural MP D K Suresh.
The decision, taken at a Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, covers cases filed across the state against farmers, Dalit activists, pro-Kannada organisations, pro-Hindu activists and others during various agitations and law-and-order incidents.
