Bengaluru, May 26 -- Liquor sellers across Karnataka have decided to go on a statewide bandh from May 29 to protest against the continuous increase in liquor prices and the steep hike in license fees by the Congress government. The Liquor Sellers Association, after holding consultations, expressed strong dissatisfaction over the repeated liquor price hikes and doubling of license fees since the Congress took office. Liquor sales have reportedly dropped significantly due to these increases. The association has called for a shutdown of bars, restaurants, and wine shops starting May 29 if their demands are not met.
