Bengaluru, Aug. 25 -- union Minister and BJP leader Shobha Karandlaje today reignited controversy over writer Banu Mushtaq's remarks at the 2023 Janasahitya Sammelana, alleging that the Congress government has insulted Hindu sentiments by inviting Banu to inaugurate the traditional Dasara festivities at Chamundi Hills.
"I am a literary person. Where do I stand when Kannada is equated with Mother Bhuvaneshwari? You worship her, you apply turmeric and kumkum, you sing devotional bhajans.
