Kanpur, Dec. 1 -- A 17-year-old student, who topped the city in the Class 10 board exams, was found dead on railway tracks on Monday morning, hours before his Class 12 Physics pre-board examination, police and family sources said.
The student, Raunak Pathak, a resident of Saket Nagar and a Class 12 student at Brij Kishori Devi Memorial Inter College, had scored 97.4 per cent in the 2023 High School exams, becoming the district topper. His academic excellence earned him a full fee waiver at his coaching institute.
