Kangra, Jan. 4 -- The First Kangra International Open FIDE Rated Rapid Chess Tournament was inaugurated by Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) Vice Chairman Ajay Verma. This is the first edition of an international-level FIDE-rated chess tournament being held in Kangra, featuring a total prize money of Rs 2.5 lakh.
The tournament is being organised under the aegis of the Himachal Pradesh State Chess Association. Members of the organising committee welcomed the chief guest by presenting him with a memento.
