Dharamshala, June 10 -- Kangra Deputy Commissioner Hemraj Bairwa said the district administration is fully alert to deal with potential disasters ahead of the monsoon season.
He emphasised that timely weather forecasts will be regularly disseminated to the public to ensure that residents remain aware and prepared in advance.
The officials were directed to clean drains and water channels (kuhls) across all panchayats to prevent waterlogging during heavy rains.
Instructions have also been issued to prepare a list of landslide-prone roads and areas in advance so that preventive measures can be implemented effectively.
