Shimla, March 30 -- Kamlesh Thakur, wife of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, on Monday raised two key issues in the Himachal Pradesh Assembly, focusing on environmental concerns and public interest matters.
During the Question Hour, Thakur highlighted the adverse impact of mining activities on river ecosystems. She said that excessive mining in riverbeds is affecting the natural migration of fish in clear water streams, disturbing aquatic biodiversity and impacting the livelihood of fishing communities.
