Shimla, March 6 -- Himachal Pradesh is witnessing unusually warm conditions, with maximum temperatures soaring well above normal across most parts of the state. even as the winter season is nearing its end and summer is yet to begin.
The hill state, usually considered a refuge from the plains' heat, is currently experiencing a sharp rise in day temperatures, which are running about 9 to 14 degrees Celsius above the seasonal average.
According to data from the Meteorological Centre in Shimla, Una recorded the highest maximum temperature in the state at 34degC, which is 7.9 degrees above normal.
