Shimla, Sept. 2 -- Train services on the UNESCO World Heritage Kalka-Shimla railway line have been suspended until September 5 after heavy rainfall triggered multiple landslides, damaging the track.

According to an official notification issued by the Railway Board, several portions of the track between Koti and Kanoh railway stations have been blocked with debris, while certain stretches have suffered structural damage.

The disruption follows continuous downpours on Monday that caused mud and boulders to slide onto the track. Officials confirmed that clearance and repair work is underway but warned that operations will remain suspended until the route is declared safe.
