Bhubaneswar, April 24 -- Indian Super League (ISL) side Bengaluru FC were knocked out of the Kalinga Super Cup following a penalty shootout defeat to Inter Kashi here.
Matija Babovic's late equaliser cancelled out Ryan Williams's opener, sending the match into a tiebreaker, where the Blues fell short, losing 3-5 in the shootout on Wednesday evening.
The I-League side created a couple of chances in the opening half, with former Bengaluru FC
forward Edmund Lalrindika leading the charge. Inter Kashi nearly broke the deadlock through Prasanth Karuthadathkuni, who struck the post after latching onto Edmund's brilliant pass.
