Patna, May 13 -- Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey said that a special search campaign would be launched to trace Kalazar patients from the first week of June across the state.
Pandey said here on Tuesday that Bihar has already achieved the target set by the National Center for Vector Borne Disease Control Programme for elimination of Kalazar.
He said that in order to maintain the pace of the elimination programme, door-to-door search operation of Kalazar patients, HIV Kalazar, Skin-related Kalazar (PKDL) will be conducted from the first week of June.
Under the special search campaign the Asha workers would be imparted special training. The campaign would be taken up in 32 districts of the state.
