Kalaburagi (Karnataka), July 11 -- In a major breakthrough, Kalaburagi city police have arrested a man accused of defrauding nearly 800 people of over Rs 50 crore in a share market scam under the guise of a firm named 'Venus Enterprises'. The accused, identified as Ramu Akkul alias RB Reddy, a native of Telangana's Rangareddy district, was nabbed by the Central Crime Branch (CCB) team after he had gone into hiding for several weeks. The accused had allegedly lured hundreds of people into investing in the share market, promising monthly returns of 15-20 per cent.
