Kakinada, June 26 -- Collector Shan Mohan on Thursday evening flagged off a rally to mark the 'International day against drug abuse' at the district police office here.
Apart from the Collector, Superintendent of Police Bindu Madhav, MLA Pantham Nanaji, MLC Karri Padmasri stood in the forefront and marched past till the Bhanugudi junction where a human chain was formed.
The traffic from the main road was diverted to other routes to ensure the meeting goes in an orderly manner.
Addressing the rally, Collector Shan Mohan advised the people, especially the youth to keep themselves away from drug abuse.
He said when one is addicted to drugs one's brain gets affected and entire nervous system and their lives will be miserable.
