Kakinada, Dec. 21 -- Andhra Pradesh Minister for Medical and Health Satya Kumar Yadav has launched the pulse polio immunization programme by administering polio vaccine to children aged below five years at a function held at the Urban health center in Ramaraopeta area in the smart city here on Sunday.
Kakinada city MLA Vanamadi Venkateswerarao and Rural MLA Pantham Nanaji who were the guests of honour also administered the polio drops to the children.
During his inaugural speech, Satya Kumar said all arrangements were made for effective implementation of the pulse polio immunization programme all over the state and a total of 98,99,300 doses of polio vaccine was kept ready.
