K'taka bypolls: High voltage campaigning ends on 15 seats; matter of prestige for BJP, Cong, JDS
Bengaluru, Dec. 3 -- The high voltage campaigning in Karnataka for 15 bypolls to be held on December 5 came to an end on Tuesday, with high stakes involved for the ruling BJP government.
The campaigning by BJP, Congress and the Janata Dal (Secular) was electric in content and delivery, ranging from mud-slinging of rival opponents to religion.
The run-up to the elections saw top Ministers and leaders from every party attempting to woo the voters across the state with their signature campaigning styles.
Till the very last minute, BJP consistently sought to expose the Congress for allegedly resorting to foul means to win the elections.
BJP believes winning 15 seats will make it a majority government from the minority one it presently is.
