Agartala, July 22 -- Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu today administered the oath of office and secrecy to Justice M.S. Ramachandra Rao, who hails from Andhra Pradesh, as the 9th Chief Justice of the Tripura High Court in a ceremonial occasion.
He succeeds Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh, who has been transferred to the Telangana High Court. Justice Rao was previously serving as Chief Justice of the Jharkhand High Court. Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, along with his cabinet colleagues and top officials, attended the swearing-in ceremony.
Justice Rao has also served as Chief Justice of the High Courts of Jharkhand and Himachal Pradesh. He was earlier a judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court as well as the Telangana High Court.
