Shimla, June 3 -- The Vimal Negi Janjati Nyay Manch raised serious concerns over the role of Shimla Superintendent of Police Sanjeev Kumar Gandhi in the investigation into the suspicious death of HPPCL Chief Engineer Vimal Negi.
The Manch alleged that the SP's actions lacked transparency and demanded full cooperation from the state government in the ongoing CBI investigation.
Addressing a press conference in Shimla, Vimal Negi's maternal uncle, Rajendra Negi, said, "The people of the state had demanded a CBI probe, and the government finally agreed. Then why is the district police chief still interfering in the matter? On whose directions is SP Sanjeev Gandhi moving the High Court even after the case was handed over to the CBI?"
