Shillong, July 31 -- Justice Biswadeep Bhattacharjee was on today sworn in as a judge of the Meghalaya High Court.



The oath was administered during a formal ceremony by Chief Justice Indra Prasanna Mukerji at the High Court premises here in the presence of judges, senior advocates, members of the bar, and court officials.



The Central government on July 29 appointed additional judge Justice Biswadeep Bhattacharjee of the Meghalaya High Court as a permanent judge on the recommendation of Supreme Court Collegium headed by Chief Justice of India BR Gavai and comprising Justices Surya Kant and Vikram Nath.
