Hyderabad, Sept. 10 -- Supreme Court Judge (Retd.) Justice Abhay Manohar Sapre, Chairmanof the Supreme Court Committee on Road Safety, held a review meeting with senior Telangana officials at a private hotel in Banjara Hills, today.

The Committee, set up by the Supreme Court to address rising road accidents and fatalities, monitors enforcement of road safety laws, reviews State policies, and promotes best practices in engineering, enforcement, and emergency response.

Recalling the formation of the Committee, Justice Sapre said the Supreme Court intervened considering the severe social and economic impact of road accidents.
