Ranchi, Nov. 22 -- The Crime Investigation Department (CID) of Jharkhand has arrested the alleged mastermind of Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) paper leak case, Vinay Shah, from Uttar Pradesh and brought him to Ranchi for further legal proceedings.
Shah was produced before the CID Special Court on Saturday, which subsequently remanded him to judicial custody.
According to officials, Shah is employed as a Section Engineer in the Railways and is originally a resident of Ranchi. To evade arrest, he had been hiding in Hanumant Nagar Colony in Shahpur, Uttar Pradesh, using a concealed identity. Investigators revealed that Shah was using a Nepal-based SIM card to avoid surveillance by security agencies.
