JP Nadda to nominate new Sikkim State BJP President

Gangtok, Jan. 22 -- National President of BJP J P Nadda will nominate BJP unit Presidents for 12 states, including Sikkim.

According to General Secretary of state BJP SB Karki, the BJP constitution provides for simultaneous appointment of state presidents and national president of the party.

Accordingly, 50 per cent of the new state presidents have to be appointed, he said.

In keeping with this rule, BJP has appointed party Presidents in 21 States.

The delegation led by state BJP president DB Chouhan called on JP Nadda in Delhi.

Chouhan apprised him about political activities in the state, he said.

National President Nadda was also informed about the organizational programmes of the party.
