Sitapur (UP), March 8 -- A Journalist of a Hindi daily was shot dead by unidentified persons in the Imalia Sultanpur area of Sitapur district here in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday, police sources said.
Police sources said that Raghvendra Bajpai, who was associated with a Hindi daily, was shot near the Hempur railway crossing on the Lucknow-Delhi Highway in the afternoon. "Raghvendra, who sustained serious injury was taken to the district hospital, where doctors declared him dead," they said.
Police sources said that police have started an in-depth investigation.
