Prayagraj, Oct. 24 -- A journalist was killed late last night after being attacked with sharp weapons near Harsh Hotel in the Civil Lines area. The victim, identified as LN Singh (also known as Pappu), was taken to SRN Hospital, where he died during treatment, police said today.
The incident occurred around 10:30 pm, police sources said, adding police responded swiftly and arrested one of the main accused, Vishal, within hours following an encounter near Nehru Park. Vishal suffered an injury in his leg during the police action and is currently under medical care.
