Bengaluru, Aug. 31 -- union Minister Pralhad Joshi today mounted a strong attack on the Siddaramaiah-led Congress government in Karnataka, alleging that its economic policies were "anti-people" and that citizens were being made to suffer because of repeated hikes in charges and irregular implementation of welfare schemes.
Speaking to reporters, Joshi said this was the second consecutive Congress government in the state to adopt such a policy of burdening people. "Earlier, they hiked bond charges, now they have increased registration charges. In total, there are at least 48 items where additional levies have been imposed.
