Buenos Aires, Dec. 16 -- Jorge Almiron has been named manager of Rosario Central for the 2026 season, the Argentine top-flight club said.

The 54-year-old replaces Ariel Holan, who left by mutual consent despite leading the club to the 2025 League Champion trophy, awarded to the team with the most accumulated points in the calendar year across the Apertura and Clausura regular seasons.

Rosario Central announced the appointment in a brief statement, without providing details of the contract.

"We welcome Jorge to our club and wish him every success," read a statement on Rosario Central's official website.
