New Delhi, Jan. 6 -- The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) administration on Tuesday wrote to the local police over the allegedly objectionable slogans raised by certain students, seeking an FIR in the matter.
The varsity's chief security office in his letter to the Station House Officer (SHO) Vasant Kunj (North) Police Station said a programme was held Monday night near the university's Sabarmati Hostel by students associated with JNUSU, to observe the sixth anniversary of the violence that took place in the campus on January 5, 2020.
However, as per the security officer at the time of commencement, the gathering appeared to be limited to commemorating the said anniversary.
