Imphal, May 26 -- Resident doctors of Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences, Manipur have started a stir by boycotting emergency services from Monday to oppose a sudden hike in fees.
Resident Doctors Association (RDA) members said it had given a five-day time to revert the fee, which was hiked three times; however it was not done, hence the stir was launched. The authority increased the annual fee for postgraduate courses of JNIMS from Rs one lakh for 3 years to Rs three lakh for 3 years for batch of October 2022 .
The doctors staged a protest in the premises of the hospital and shouted slogans demanding fulfillment of their demands.
