Ranchi, Oct. 18 -- The Jharkhand Loktantrik Krantikari Morcha (JLK M) on Thursday announced Ramdas Murmu as its official candidate for the upcoming Ghatshila (ST-reserved) Assembly by-election in Jharkhand.
JLK M spokesperson Vijay Kumar Singh informed that Ramdas Murmu will file his nomination papers on October 21, the last date for filing nominations for the bypoll.
The by-election in Ghatshila has drawn significant political attention, with major parties fielding prominent candidates. The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) has nominated Somesh Chandra Soren, son of late Education Minister Ramdas Soren, while the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has chosen Babulal Soren, son of former Chief Minister Champai Soren, to contest the seat.
