Jammu, Sept. 27 -- The ten-day Basohli Utsav, first initiated in 2022, is currently being celebrated in the picturesque Basohli town on the banks of the River Ravi. The festival showcases the unique blend of cultural ethos and artistic heritage of the region.

Basohli (formerly Vishwasthali) is a tehsil in the Kathua district of the union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. It serves as a vital connection between Udhampur and Doda, and shares boundaries with the neighbouring states of Punjab and Himachal Pradesh.

The third edition, 'Basohli Utsav 3.0', commenced on September 23 and concludes on October 2 (Vijayadashami). This year, the focus is on the traditions of the Ramayana.
