Jammu, Sept. 18 -- The Jammu and Kashmir Police has taken stringent action against an alleged notorious drug peddler, booking him under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and lodging him in Udhampur District Jail.
According to police spokesman, Chirag Attri, a resident of Chak Jaralan in Jammu's Bishnah tehsil, was formally detained under the PIT-NDPS Act following orders from the Divisional Commissioner, Jammu.
Attri, who has multiple cases registered against him under the NDPS Act, was found involved in supplying drugs to the local youth, thereby promoting drug trafficking in the area.
