Srinagar, Oct. 25 -- In an ongoing crackdown, JK Police today arrested five long-time absconders in two districts of Kashmir,Police apprehended four absconders in the Sopore sub-district, including three wanted in a heinous crime case pending since 2014.
A special team from Police Station Panzalla arrested three accused, Mohammad Sadiq Khan, Ajaz Ahmad Shah and Mohsin Ali Shah, all residents of Paranpilan, Uri, wanted in a 2014 FIR.
The trio had been absconding for the last 11 years to evade the law, police said.
In another operation, Police Post Warpora Sopore apprehended Shahzad Ahmad Lone of Bunkoot Bandipora, wanted in a 2019 FIR under sections 366, 376D, 344, 109 RPC of Police Station Sopore. He had been evading arrest since 2019.
