Srinagar, Oct. 5 -- The Economic Offences Wing (Crime Branch Kashmir) has busted a Rs 46.90 lakh online supply scam and registered a case after a Pune-based fraudster allegedly duped a local trader by failing to deliver a consignment of "Sifine Natural Nut" despite receiving advance payment.
The EOW said they received a written complaint wherein it was alleged that a person based in Pune, claiming to be the proprietor of a firm named D.K. Enterprises, contacted the complainant and assured the supply of "Sifine Natural Nut".
However, despite receiving an advance payment, the consignment was never delivered, thereby cheating the complainant of Rs 46.90 lakhs.
