Srinagar, March 8 -- Awami Ittehad Party (AIP) headed by jailed Member Parliament Engineer Rashid termed the Budget presented by Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in the Assembly on Friday as "anti-people and hollow."
This was informed by State Secretary of AIP Sheikh Ashiq here on Saturday.
He said the budget offers nothing substantial for the common masses, industries, commerce, traders or transporters.
Addressing a press conference in Srinagar, Ashiq warned that any move to increase petrol, diesel prices, or impose a 5% hike in taxes on Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) would be met with strong political resistance, as it will have a cascading effect on all sectors and burden every citizen.
