Srinagar, March 5 -- Hurriyat Conference Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Wednesday termed the remark by Leader of the Opposition in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly against the "martyrs" of July 13, 1931 as "outrageous", calling it an affront to the region's history and collective memory.
Mirwiaz took to social media to denounce the Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma statement where he said those who rebelled against Maharaja Hari Singh's rule in J&K were anti-nationals and "traitors and cannot be called as martyrs."
