Srinagar, March 7 -- The authorities in Kashmir valley have warned traders of cancellation of their registrations and blacklisting if found selling counterfeit products in garb of Kashmir handicrafts to visitors.
The Director Handicrafts & Handloom, Kashmir has issued an advisory, asking tourists visiting Kashmir valley for the ensuing Spring season and annual Tulip festival to immediately contact the department if they suspect buying counterfeit items in the name of Kashmir Handicrafts by any business establishment or trader.
The Department has urged the tourists to approach the department in case they are sold counterfeit machine-made items by business establishments or traders in the name of Kashmir Handicrafts.
