New Delhi, March 26 -- India is racing to secure its future in the global critical minerals race. Minister of Science and Technology Jitendra Singh has sounded a clarion call for transforming India's mining landscape urging the creation of a startup-driven ecosystem to enter the mining and critical minerals sector to scale up exploration of critical minerals.
Singh called for boosting the role of Notified Private Exploration Agencies (NPEAs), improving access to technology and finance, and ensuring faster project approvals, end- to-end domestic supply chains to slash import dependence and stake India's claim in the scramble for lithium and other strategic minerals powering the world's clean energy transition.
