New Delhi, Oct. 3 -- Bengal secured their first win in the 30th Senior Women's National Football Championship for the Rajmata Jijabai Trophy 2025-26 Final Round, edging past Odisha 1-0 at the Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama Ground in Narainpur, Chhattisgarh, on Friday. The side had opened their campaign with a goalless draw against Goa.
The lone goal of the match came in the 59th minute when Mousumi Murmu rose to head in a perfectly floated cross from Rimpa Haldar. Bengal had dominated possession in the first half, creating several chances, and took firm control of proceedings after taking the lead.
