Palamu, Oct. 19 -- A man was shot dead in Shahpur, Palamu district, on Sunday morning, triggering tension in the area.
The deceased, Hasan Ali, was killed around 7:30 AM when two unidentified men on a motorcycle opened fire at him.
According to eyewitnesses, Hasan Ali was standing on the road when the assailants stopped him. After a brief argument, one of them fired a shot that struck him in the neck, causing him to collapse on the spot.
The perpetrators fled immediately after the attack. The body has been seized by police and sent to Medinirai Medical College and Hospital for postmortem.
