Ranchi, Dec. 21 -- At Ranchi Railway Station a three-month-old infant was found abandoned on Platform No. 1.
The baby was spotted under the overbridge near the GRP office by on-duty shift officer ASI Arun Kumar and woman constable Rakhi Kumari.
Upon noticing the infant in a helpless condition, the officials immediately informed GRP Ranchi. The woman constable safely brought the child to the GRP police station, where the infant was kept under protective custody. Enquiries were made among passengers and people present in the station premises; however, no concrete information regarding the child's parents or relatives could be gathered.
