Ranchi, Sept. 22 -- The Jharkhand School Education and Literacy Department is set to roll out Dahar 2.0, a mobile and web-based application to streamline identification of school dropouts.

The new initiative aims not only to bring out-of-school children back into the education system but also provide special training to those who have been absent from schools for over three months.

Officials said each government school will be linked to a village, ensuring a comprehensive coverage in the digital survey.

The data collection will assess enrollment and dropout trends among children aged 3 to 18 years, officials said.
